OVERVIEW OF THE MARCO POLO P500e SM BY EKO GUITARS

The Marco Polo P500e SM comes in Natural color with a Gloss finish and with a Parlor shape, typical of guitars used in Folk music. The entire Marco Polo series is All Solid, so, with solid wood top, bands and bottom, the nature of the wood is enhanced in favor of a particularly specific tone. The combination of Italian Solid Spruce on the top and Solid Mahogany on the sides and back, the result of careful research, gives this instrument a very particular tonal spectrum, with smaller volumes than a dreadnought, but with better control of the individual voices thanks to the excellent balance of the strings. A decidedly important feature is the presence of a high-performance amplification system, the Fishman Flex Blend: consisting of a piezo and an internal condenser microphone, this system allows you to capture every nuance of the guitar thanks to the possibility of gradually adding the signal taken from the microphone to the piezo signal, through a “blend” potentiometer. Among the controls, in addition to the Output Volume and the Blend, there is a display tuner (which can be activated by pressing the volume potentiometer) and an EQ control that works in “mid-scooped” mode: kept to a minimum, the signal is not equalized (flat), increasing the medium frequencies are gradually reduced in favor of low and high, very convenient for obtaining a sound already “ready” for the mix. In the event that the guitar should have feedback problems, a very common situation in the acoustic field, it is possible to reverse the phase by pressing the EQ potentiometer.
