Here are the main changes compared to the previous version:

Transformations and Generators — Use MIDI Transformations to add embellishments and articulations, draw acceleration and deceleration curves, connect subsequent notes and chords, and simulate the feel of a guitar. And use the MIDI Generators to create fun and original ideas to develop and transform into your own

Max for Live MIDI Utilities — Try Max for Live's additional Transformations and Generators, which offer you deeper ways to work with MIDI; or go even further by creating new ones.

MIDI Editor improvements — Use your keyboard and mouse to edit MIDI in new ways. Divide a note in two or cut it into several parts. Select a series of notes and merge them together, or have them fill a selected time interval. Access additional utilities from the Height and Time Utilities panel, such as Adjust to Scale, Humanize, Add Range, and more

Tone and Scale — Transform or generate ideas within the boundaries of the selected scale, or synchronize the scale of the MIDI devices with that of the clip that is playing.

Tuning systems — Work outside the equable temperature and use the chosen tuning with Live devices and with any MPE-compatible plug-in or hardware.

Modulate with more flexibility — Stay in control of a parameter even after it has been mapped to a modulation source; now Max for Live devices such as LFO, Shaper and Envelope Follower allow you to freely adjust a destination undergoing modulation.

Freeze and Flatten — Freeze and flatten a track in a single step using the Edit menu or by right-clicking on the track title bar to display the context menu.

The new sounds:

Meld — A 12-voice synthesizer with highly expressive MPE functionality that uses FM, subtractive and granular synthesis. Its two independent motors can be treated individually with filters of various types, allowing you to produce a wide range of sound textures

Roar — Creates everything from mild warmth delivered with mastering-level precision, to unrestrained and unpredictable sound degradation. Roar includes three saturation stages for serial, parallel, or even mid/side and multiband configurations. The built-in compressor and feedback routing give you an even greater number of ways to shape your sound, while the modulation section allows you to add dynamic, evolving saturation and color

Granulator III — The latest iteration of Robert Henke's granular instrument now features MPE functionality, giving you expressive control over parameters such as note bending, vibrato and glissando. Plus, you can now capture audio in real time and start manipulating it immediately

New Packs — Discover new tricks for performing on the fly with the four Max for Live devices in the Performance Pack, explore unlikely instruments and unique ambient effect recordings with the Lost and Found collection, and get your hands on authentic hip-hop and trap beats with two Sound Oracle drum packs.
