SR 2000 Light 44-98 Electric Bass Strings Dean Markley produces these strings with an original approach to compound wrapping. With the exception of strings smaller than 050, all other strings are made by building their mass with threads of smaller incremental dimensions. The wrapping directions are reversed between the layers to 'hatch' the covers and make the rope smoother. Another important factor is the 'core to cover ratio' which varies from time to time, obtaining the right mix for the best playability and duration.
