Alesis Crimson II Special Edition is a professional drum kit consisting of 9 pads, 5 drums and 4 cymbals, and the sound module equipped with 74 sound presets (54 factory + 20 users), a USB type “A” port for loading audio samples in .Wav format from a flash drive and a USB type “B” port for direct MIDI connection to the computer, to play virtual instruments and music apps.

The drums in the set are equipped with mesh head “skins” patented by Alesis: 8” bass drum, 12” snare, two 8” toms and a 10” tom all with dual zones. The cymbals are a 12” hi-hat with respective pedals included, two 12” crashes with choke function and a 14” triple zone ride. All this can be easily and quickly installed on the sturdy 4-legged chrome rack

The Crimson II Special Edition module offers 74 drum kits (54 factory and 20 users) that use the 671 sounds included in the internal wavetable, 120 bases and a programmable metronome for training, a real-time recorder and an audio input on a 1/8” mini-jack socket for connecting external sources. The 120 bases are divided as follows: from 001 to 060 complete accompaniments to play on, from 061 to 070 percussion loops, from 071 to 120 “one-shot” accompaniments. It is possible to adjust the volume of the accompaniment and that of the drum kit separately. The audio outputs in the module are master out (L and R) on a pair of ¼” jacks and a 1/8” mini-jack headphone output (TRS). The rear panel of the module also houses the MIDI input and output in DIN and USB (type B) format, useful for playing/controlling external sound modules or virtual instruments or musical applications installed on PC and Mac computers, tablets and smartphones. The Alesis Crimson II Special Edition module has a USB type “A” port for connecting USB pen-drives (from 4GB to max 64GB) formatted in FAT32 from which it will be possible to upload audio samples and kits, and on which we can record our performances and save the kits we programmed. The audio samples loaded via USB can be assigned to the pad zones, then go to integrate the sound library of our electronic drums
