2-way Nearfield monitor with 5” woofer - 50W + 50W in Class D - RAW version Genelec 8030B is a biamplified 2-way nearfield monitoring system with new Class D amps, ideal for projects and home studios, but also workstations and surround systems. The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function reduces the system's electrical consumption to less than 0.5 watts by automatically putting the monitor on standby when no signal is detected on the inputs for a certain period of time. As soon as an input audio signal is detected, the system is turned back on instantly. This ISS function is compatible with the new EU standards and the ErP Directive 2013, which regulates the consumption of electronic equipment. The 8030C model is equipped with Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler™), a support capable of eliminating any sound colors by decoupling the monitor from the surface on which it is placed. Iso-Pod™ also allows you to angle the monitor in order to point it perfectly in axis towards the listener, both vertically and horizontally. If you need higher sound pressure and a more open downward frequency response, the natural complement of 8030B is the 7050B subwoofer for stereo systems, or 7060B for surround listening systems. Common to all 8000 series monitors are the exclusive DCW™ (Directivity Control Waveguide™) technology capable of guaranteeing very accurate stereo imaging and frequency balance even in suboptimal listening situations, the exclusive reflex duct design integrated into the die-cast aluminum cabinet, with a semi-opaque finish and acoustically optimized speaker protection grids. The combination of waveguide control, Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide™ (DCW™), rounded corners and subtle curvature both of the front and of the cabinet, MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure™), result in a surprisingly flat frequency response both on and off axis. Another big advantage is an extremely precise and detailed imaging and a minimum listening fatigue. A sophisticated crossover filter system treats the signal that is sent to the amplifiers: each very low distortion speaker has a dedicated one. 8030B is equipped as standard with magnetic shielding, overload protection circuit and a versatile environmental correction system. The holes on the back allow a correct and safe wall mounting.
