Sound engine shared with Series 7
One of the most important aspects of the new Series 3 and 5 is the use of the same high-end sound engine found in the upper models, offering:

DW Sampling
Roland collaborated with Drum Workshop to create extremely high-quality multi-layer samples. The new kits deliver the distinctive DW character, with realism based on:

New digital pads
The new drum kits introduce two redesigned tom pads (PD-10P and PD-12P), featuring:

Series 3 supports one digital pad via USB, while Series 5 supports up to three digital pads.
