New Programs that are particularly effective for solo

On RK-100S 2, the internal Programs have been significantly expanded, with particular attention to the sounds of Lead Synth or other solo sounds that make the musician particularly stand out. Many frequently used sounds have been included in the current music scene, with 200 ready-to-use presets able to satisfy all genres and styles. The overall sound of the instrument is dynamic and present, all Presets are immediately accessible during a Live Performance thanks to the dedicated FAVORITE keys on the top panel, the player can also benefit from the help of a versatile arpeggiator equipped with numerous Patterns.

Two ribbon controllers expand the executive potential

RK-100S 2 has two ribbon controls: Ribbon Controller, which allow you to modify some sound parameters in real time. The shorter Ribbon located in the neck area controls the Pitch Bend and modulation, the longer one placed in the keyboard area controls the Pitch or Filter. In this way, it is possible for the performer to create, for example, Sweeps of these parameters depending on their flair, or on the musical needs of the moment. With the long Ribbon it is also possible to control the pitch of the sounds as an alternative to the keyboard, with a significant space therefore for experimentation or unconventional performance

RK-100S 2 can be powered by six AA batteries, these provide up to 8 hours of continuous operation

. Once powered, just connect the instrument to a headphone or a listening system and you can immediately start playing without having to worry about the power cables, very useful and efficient on a Live stage. Of course, if necessary, it is also possible to use an AC adapter (optional).

Vocoder function

The Mini Jack input (mono) allows the connection of a microphone to use the typical and characteristic synthetic and vocal sound of the Vocoder, able to further characterize a live performance. The input can also be used to connect an external sound source such as a smartphone, to be used as a player for backing tracks

MIDI control functions

RK-100S 2 is not limited to the reproduction of internal sounds, it is in fact equipped with a MIDI OUT jack and a USB port, which allow it to be used as a controller for external units such as hardware sound modules, or virtual instruments on a computer. A PC editor is also available, which can be downloaded free of charge from the KORG website, which allows the refined and complete control of all the parameters of the RK-100S sound generator
