The 000JR-10E Shawn Mendes is the electrified acoustic guitar from Martin & Co's “Custom Artist” series, created in collaboration and based on specifications by Canadian artist Shawn Mendes, amplified with the Fishman Sonitone system. With the 000JR shape, or a slightly reduced Auditorium with attachment to the 14th fret, it has a Sitka Spruce top, Sapele sides and back, Sipo neck (100% FSC certified) and Ebony keyboard (100% FSC certified). Call all Black Crowes fans! Martin is proud to introduce the D-28 Rich Robinson Custom Signature Edition. This guitar is the dream of every guitarist and is the first model that Martin has ever created as a visual and sound representation of an artist's personal instrument. The instrument that inspired it is a 1954 D-28 handed down by Robinson's father, who played it on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, as a traveling musician with Hillbilly Highway and in his folk group, The Appalachians, during the 1950s and 1960s. After inheriting his father's guitar, Robinson used it to write most of the original Black Crowes songs contained in the band's studio albums. The Signature model is made with satin and aged East India Rosewood bands and bottom and aged Sitka Spruce top, finished with a subtle vintage gloss. It also has a non-scalloped bracing moved backwards, which offers a very balanced tone and greater volume. It includes some vintage 1950s style construction features, such as the dovetail neck attachment, the authentic construction with leather glue, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, and aged Nickel mechanics. Another personalized feature requested by Robinson is the bridge with slightly softened wings to ensure greater comfort. The model includes a specially designed label, signed by Robinson and numbered sequentially.
